``Pro Bono Help With Filing a Patent Application``
Calling All Inventors!!!! If you have a great idea and need Pro Bono
help with filing your patent application, then you don't want to miss
this event to see if you qualify. Come join the Chicago Inventors
Organization to learn more about a program to provide pro bono legal
services to independent inventors.

Our Guest speaker will be Arthur Tan-Chi Yuan who is the director of the
Chinese Intellectual Property Resource Center and an adjunct professor
and director for the John Marshall Law School Patent Clinic. Yuan
teaches a variety of practical patent courses at the John Marshall Law
School, including Intellectual Property Survey (patent portion), Patent
Attorney Opinions, Patent Planning and Practice, and Advanced Patent
Clinic. He brings years of patent preparation and prosecution
experiences: 6 years with intellectual property law firm Senniger
Powers, LLP in St. Louis, Missouri and currently with the law firm Loeb
& Loeb, LLP as a senior counsel. Arthur’s presentation will include:
1) the Patent Clinic work/submission process, 2) Patent Searching and
3) Patent Protection in general especially after the Leahy-Smith America
Invents Act (AIA). The AIA represents the most significant change to
the U.S. patent system since 1952.
