Myth:     Speed Networking events are for young professionals only. 
Reality:  Facebook was supposed to only be for college kids....right....SpeedNetworking events are showing up at major conferences and corporations such as the American Bar Association, Corporate Compliance, PepsiCo, World Presidents Organization and many others.  The demographics are consistent through all age brackets.

Myth:      Speed Networking events are for sales people only.
Reality:   Organizations of all types have been turning to speed networking events to engage in peer to peer networking, mentoring, cross selling, team building,  referral sources and many other networking formats.  Fortune 500 companies have also incorporated speed networking events internally to enhance team building and much more.

Dr. Who is coming to Chicago!


The Ultimate-TV will host a The Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Celebration panel at Wizard World Chicago Comic Convention 5pm, Friday August 9th in the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois.  
 
Join Rachell Montgomery and The Ultimate-TV Crew as they conduct a lively discussion on the legendary Time Lord, the 50th Anniversary episode and give away ‘FANTASTIC’ prizes courtesy of BBC Home Entertainment.  Needless to say, True Doctor Who fans will not want to miss this fun-filled event! **

your water poisoned?



Ban Atrazine — click here to take action.
You might not have heard of atrazine, but chances are you drank some today. Atrazine is one of the most commonly used pesticides in the United States, and 80 percent of U.S. drinking water contains it.1 Extensive studies have shown that exposure to atrazine causes breast and prostate cancer, reproductive health problems, and various birth defects.2That's why the European Union banned atrazine in 2004.
We've set up a meeting on Friday, July 26, 12:00 PM in Chicago with Representative Davis's staff where local CREDO activists have a special opportunity to personally explain why it is so important for Rep. Davis to cosponsor H.R. 2044, a bill that would ban this poison. You will be joined by about a dozen other CREDO activists, and we'll give you everything you need to show your support.

Rep. Davis has not yet signed on to sponsor this bill, and we need to make sure that our representatives know that we demand that they protect our health. Even though the EPA and Congress have acknowledged atrazine's dangerous toxicity, both refuse to put our health before corporate profits. Instead of passing a crucial ban on this pesticide, the EPA and Congress continue catering to the interests of foreign atrazine manufacturer Syngenta.
However, H.R. 2044 would stop poisoning our water by banning atrazine in the U.S., so we must make sure that Rep. Davis knows that we need the Representative to protect our health and cosponsor this important bill.
We'll make the meeting easy for you and your fellow CREDO members, and give you everything you need to urge Rep. Davis to cosponsor H.R. 2044 and ban atrazine in the United States.

Here is a summit on multicultural markets (Chicago) , share the information with marketing professionals, advertisers, friends and business associates.
- HELP WANTED IN CHICAGO: Two HISPANICS, Two CAUCASIANS, and Two ASIANS; Two "qualified" African-Americans have ALREADY stepped up to the plate.
- FOR: To spearhead their ethnicity's participation in a Multicultural Summit occurring downtown in late July 2013. The Multicultural Summit attendee's will consist Digital Marketers, Ad Agencies, Brands, Consumers etc.
- REQUIREMENTS: 1.) Must be in attendance for next Tuesday's 7/2 evening planning meeting at Kroll's located on 18th and Michigan. The eight identified people (two from each ethnic group) will be the only people in attendance. 2.) Must have a strong rapport/network within your professional community.
*- PLEASE "SHARE" this post within a group relative to the subject matter and or with an individual who you feel would be a qualified candidate and positive representative from their ethnic community.
- PLEASE NOTE: Each of the eight candidates will be publicly acknowledged at the event as well as provided a copy of the sign-in sheet.

Chicago is one of the most diverse cities in the world with historical neighborhoods spanning from the Hispanic Pilsen area, and further south entering the rich culture of African American communities like Bronzeville and Chatham.

Multicultural is a part of the cities organic makeup, and as a leading portal for advertising and marketing we lead the way in advertising agencies capable of creating campaigns to fit the needs of a an audience as inclusive as the United Nations.

With the cities makeup much like the country as a whole there are opportunities to create more effective measures in ways to reach the various demographics based effective and realistic ad campaigns true to the niche markets being served.

The only way to effectively reach the various ethnic markets is to fully understand what works and why, as opposed to guess work of companies presenting campaigns based on guess work opposed to engagement solutions.

The Multicultural Summit in late July will provide insight, dialog and solutions to an important segment of the population which heavily effects the bottom lines of major corporations, and even the small business owners.
